MCC Ride Participation Conditions

The Miles Cycling Club (MCC) organizes community cycling outings for road cycling enthusiasts.

Participation in an MCC outing implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Individual Responsibility

Each participant takes part in the outings under their own responsibility.

Each participant declares:

• to be in good physical condition to cycle;
• to have a bicycle in perfect working order;
• to be covered by personal civil liability insurance;
• to be able to assess their own physical and technical abilities.

The MCC, its organizers, ride leaders, and partners cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, material damage, or immaterial damage resulting from participation in an outing.

Respect for the Highway Code

MCC outings take place on roads open to traffic.

Each participant agrees to:

• respect the Highway Code;
• respect traffic lights, stop signs, and rights of way;
• adopt careful and responsible conduct;
• respect other road users.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate exclusion from an outing.

Helmet Use

Wearing an approved helmet is mandatory to participate in an MCC outing.

Any participant not wearing a helmet may be refused departure.

 Group Spirit

MCC outings are based on respect, mutual aid, and conviviality.

Participants agree to:

• respect the ride leaders;
• respect other participants;
• report dangers and obstacles;
• adopt courteous and benevolent behavior.

Aggressive, dangerous, or disrespectful behavior is not tolerated.

Required Level

Each participant is responsible for registering for an outing suited to their level.

Distances, elevation gains, and paces are indicated in the description of each event.

Ride leaders may refuse the participation of a person whose level would not allow for their safety or that of the group to be ensured.

Weather and Modifications

The MCC reserves the right to:

• modify a route;
• adapt the course of an outing;
• postpone or cancel an event in case of unfavorable weather conditions or any other circumstance affecting the safety of participants.

Photos and Videos

Photographs and videos may be taken during MCC outings.

By participating in an MCC outing, each participant authorizes MILES & CO, the Miles Cycling Club (MCC), and their partners to use the images and videos in which they appear for:

• social media publications;
• website;
• newsletters;
• advertising campaigns;
• communication and brand promotion materials.

This authorization is granted free of charge, for worldwide use, and for the entire legal protection period applicable.

Participants who do not wish to appear in disseminated content must inform the organizers before departure.

Personal Data

The information collected during registration for MCC outings is used exclusively for the organization of events, communication related to MCC activities, and MILES news.

Acceptance of Terms

Registration and participation in an MCC outing constitute full and unreserved acceptance of these participation terms and conditions.

The MCC reserves the right to refuse or exclude any person whose behavior would be contrary to the values, safety, or smooth running of the outings.
